MEREDITH EVENSEN-LYNCH

TEACHING STYLE: I have been an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years, and a yogi for longer than that! My teaching style is grounded in the healing arts; in a desire to guide people to a new understanding of their relationship to the body through awareness of sensation, breath and movement. And then through the body to other stories the body has to tell. The real work of yoga begins when we step off the mat and into the messiness of our ‘real lives’ where flexibility, strength, and right action really matter!

INSPIRED BY: Nature, and my 19 and 21 year-old who are doing amazing things in the world!

FAVORITE POSE: Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana.  I love how the pose brings length to the whole side body…yum!

A RECURRING THOUGHT: What’s for dinner?

FAVORITE QUOTE: “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” -Winston Churchill

A NON-NEGOTIABLE: Being in nature every day!

MOUNTAINS OR BEACH: Mountains for sure. But the absolute best is beaches in the mountains…on the banks of the Salmon River!
