Restore your mind and body and alleviate stress in this 2 part special class. The first half of this special class will be Yin/Restorative postures followed by a Yoga Nidra practice. All levels welcome.
Yin is a restorative practice characterized by long held floor poses. It is a perfect way to unwind and balance out our nervous systems and tissues from intense activities and everyday life.
Yoga Nidra is the practice of yogic sleep. It is done lying down in savasana. Science has said that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to four hours of uninterrupted, restful sleep. In Yoga Nidra, you are guided from the Beta brain wave state (where we operate most of the day and in times of stress) into the Theta and Alpha brain wave states. People with a consistent Yoga Nidra practice have expressed experiencing healing from trauma, clarity, less anxiety, better sleep, and more compassion towards self and others.
